Delete your DueDrop account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, without asking anyone. It takes about thirty seconds and there's no retention trick waiting at the end of it.

Delete it yourself

  1. Log in to DueDrop. In the app or on the web, either works.
  2. Open Settings → Profile.
  3. Scroll to Delete account, confirm with your password, and it's done.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes it and everything in it, immediately and permanently:

  • Your name, email address and password
  • Every plant, with its schedule, notes and photos
  • Your whole care history: waterings, feeds, repots, growth measurements
  • Any notification subscriptions and your plant-sitter link

It cannot be undone, so export your data first if you might want it later. Your account disappears from DueDrop immediately. Encrypted disaster-recovery backups keep older snapshots on a tiered schedule (recent ones for a few weeks, then monthly and yearly archives), so a copy can sit in cold storage for a while before it ages out on its own. Those exist so a server failure can't erase everyone's plants; a deleted account is never restored from them. Anonymous, aggregated analytics that were never tied to your identity may remain.

Can't log in?

Try a password reset first. If that doesn't work, email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask for deletion. It's one person reading that inbox, so allow a few days.
